Privacy policy

SE Design Co., Ltd. operates in the creative, marketing, and technology fields, providing corporate communication services to IT companies.
As an entity to support communication activities for IT businesses, we recognize the importance of protecting personal information, and shall comply with all relevant laws and regulations. We also regard it as our social responsibility to appropriately manage and use all individual information (information that identifies customers and employees) handled in our business operations, and all our executives and employees work together to implement and continuously improve our management system to protect personal information.

1. Our personal information protection measures ensure that we acquire personal information in a legal and appropriate manner, use it only to the extent necessary to achieve our stated purposes of use, and prevent its use for other purposes. In addition, we will not provide third parties with your personal information unless you give prior your consent.
2. We will comply with Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information and all other laws, guidelines, and standards regarding the handling of personal information.
3. When handling your personal information, we will follow our personal information management system to manage your information appropriately and prevent leakage, loss, or damage. In the event of any incident involving personal data, we will take prompt measures to prevent your damage from worsening, identify the cause incident, and then implement preventive measures against recurrence.
4. We have set up our Personal Information Contact to respond promptly and appropriately to your queries or requests about personal information. In addition, we will accept your requests to disclose, correct, delete, or suspend using your personal information and respond appropriately.
5. We carry out regular internal audits on our processes for handling and protecting your personal information, and continuously review and improve our personal information protection management system to reflect international trends and social changes.

Requesting disclosure of personal information

2. Documents required when requesting disclosure

To request disclosure of your personal information, please prepare the documents stated in a) and b) below and mail them to the address above.

a) Disclosure of personal information request form

b) Proof of your identity
A copy of your driver's license or health insurance card

3. Requesting disclosure on behalf of a minor or as a legal representative

If you are requesting disclosure on behalf of a minor or as a legal representative of an adult ward, in addition to the documents stated in 2. a) and b) above, please submit those stated in c) and d) below.

c) Proof that you hold the right to be a legal representative
A copy of your family register or, in the case of a person with parental authority, a copy of your health insurance card listing your dependents

d) Proof of your identity as the legal representative
A copy of your driver's license or health insurance card

4. Requesting disclosure as an authorized representative

If you are requesting disclosure as an authorized representative, in addition to the documents stated in 2. a) and b) above, please submit those stated in e) and f) below.

5. Requesting disclosure as a non-Japanese national

6. How we reply to requests for disclosure

We will reply by mailing a document to the address you have written on the Disclosure of personal information request form.

7. Personal information acquired from a request for disclosure

We handle personal information acquired from a request for disclosure only to the extent necessary to respond to the request.

8. Cases where we refuse requests to disclose personal information

We will refuse requests to disclose personal information in the cases specified below.

• When we are unable to verify your identity because your address or other information stated in the Disclosure of personal information request form does not match the information in the documents proving your identity
• When we are not able to confirm your authority when you are making a request on behalf of someone else
• When you ask us to disclose personal information that does not meet the criteria for personal information subject to disclosure
• When disclosing the information could harm your life, property, or other rights, or those of any third party
• When disclosing the information could significantly impede the proper operation of our business
• When disclosing the information would violate other laws or regulations
